University of Wyoming doesn't have a limit to how many CLEP/DSST you can use. Only, they require 30 upper level credits to be obtained at their school.

Their tuition is less than $100 per credit hour, so the 30 credits will be about $3k. Compared to Excelsior:

UWY's nonresident tuition for online courses should be $134 per credit hour, and $109 per credit hour for correspondence courses unless I misunderstood.

Hehe, yes, the tuition is the reason why I am considering abandoning my current plan and going with them.

One warning: UofWy doesn't follow the ACE guidelines for credit for all exams. Some award less credit, some award more, some fill requirements but don't award credit, some award credit but don't fill requirements. Basically, they are more like a typical school rather than what we are used to talking about on this forum. They have a guide online for what you can do with each test, but of course, you won't really know until you enroll and gain approval for everything.

Columbia College (of Missouri) allows up to half of your degree to be from non-traditional sources like CLEP, DSST, etc. They also allow more transfer credits than other colleges. You only need 24 credits from Columbia to get a degree from them.

I would not recommend Columbia College! Their degrees require 39 upper level credits and 60 traditional credits. Plus they require 15 of the last 24 credits to be from Columbia, which means if you transfer to many tests after your enrolled you will have to RESTART your 24 credit residency requirements

That's not bad- in fact, it is actually superb! It's just not as flexible as we're used to seeing on this board. I have since changed paths, but I had a plan set out to have my degrees from Columbia quickly and inexpensively. "Traditional credits" refers to anything on a college transcript- per my inquiry directly to the school. It could be from b&m courses, online courses or independent study courses (like LSU). By that definition, they might even accept ECEs from Excelsior students, since they appear as graded courses on the transcripts. I never went so far as to figure that part out, but it was a tempting idea.
