If you want to do something along the lines of Business in the future, a Business undergrad may be a good prep for an MBA, or Masters in Leadership, Management, etc. If you're looking to get into the Arts/Sciences and major in a specific subject, getting the BLS would be fine. I would go for a minor of your choice in the courses/subjects that you find interesting.
Honestly I initially wanted something IT related, but UMPI doesn't offer any technical majors. And the one school on here that does(WGU), doesn't allow 90 credits to transfer. At this point I'd take a check box degree though
By the way. thank you all for the answers
Why arent you interested in this degree at UMPI- its exactly what you want https://online.umpi.edu/programs/bls-man...minor.aspx Idk I just feel like most employers would look down on a “BLS” and toss it into the slush pile like it’s a lesser degree. Not only that but if I were to pursue an MBA/Masters in the future, it wouldn’t help at all.

Unless you're going for a very selective MBA/Masters program, you may want to review what their program requirements are, most of the time, they'll have conditional admissions if you meet most of their requirements. A BAS or BLS will not have issues as long as you have the basic prerequisites for the MBA or Masters... many who are going for BSLA, BALS, BAS/BLS degrees can get into semi-competitive ones just by taking 2-4 prerequisite courses and make it part of their undergrad degree.

Ok hypothetically, if I got a BLS from UMPI, would I qualify for a WGU MBA for instance?

If you have, or can get, the Pierpont AAS, you might want to consider the BAS instead of the BLS. It's essentially the same degree, but it may sound better on paper to some employers.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

The BABA in Project Management is for IT management, you can add minors in Cybersecurity and MIS. Plus you can take as many IT Certs, advanced math, and CS/IT courses as you want and put it in your electives, if you really want too...

Do you think this assumption holds any water?
If you're not comfortable with the BLS, then you've answered your own question - get the BSBA. Or opt the for Pierpont BOG AAS to BAS at UMPI route. - https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pi...egree_Plan
Amberton - MSHRB
TESU - ASNSM/BSBA

Yes, WGU accepts NA, RA Bachelors as entrance requirements. That's correct, it's not a really competitive program.

Why wouldn't a BLS help with a master's degree? A bachelor's degree is a requirement to enter grad school. I was accepted into multiple grad schools with my BLS. I even attended grad school while I only had my BLS. Once you have a master's degree your bachelor's degree isn't the degree employers focus on.

Absolutely! WGU was one of the grad programs I was accepted into with my BLS.

I got into WGU with my BAS from UMPI.
WGU is not competitive at all. All you need is to meet basic requirements.
MSML, WGU 2022
BAS, UMPI, 2021
AAS, Pierpont C&TC, 2021
ACE (119): Sophia, 93; TEEX, 5; SDC, 12; ACTFL, 6
RA (50): ASU, 8; ONU, 3; UMPI, 39
NA (16) : UoPeople, 16
Other: ENEB/Isabel I, MBA (2021)
Also dropped a gazillion of classes!!
Family members work on degrees at Ashworth, TESU, Purdue, UMPI, NationsU
