Hi,
Besides Pierpont,
are there any other fairly quick and inexpensive associate degrees?
Thank you!

@midnite123, in addition to the ones mentioned within the link, you also have the ones you can get FREE from the local community colleges in the state... Last but not least, the ones you get on route to the Bachelors degree from an institution that also provides you an Associates for free. What's not listed, for example, is the UMPI AALS, you get that free without doing any extra work when you finish the UMPI Bachelors in anything.

HI ,
Thank you for that!
I have another question.
If someone gets credit for competency based classes like from Purdue Global,
Can they be transferred to a traditional University like Rutgers, etc?
I am trying to figure out for a relative,
if he can accelerate his degree ,
by adding these faster competency based credits to his college transcript,
Maybe to graduate in 3 years instead of 4?
Thank You again!!!

Each university is different, you'll have to see that Rutgers or whatever institution you're looking at requires and what their max transfer of credit is. For example, if they have a max transfer of 60 credits, you can complete 60 credits from UMPI within two sessions (16 weeks, instead of two years), then you can speed up that time frame from 4 to 2.5 or less, depending on the requirements and speed you can finish at Rutgers or whatever you're going for.

I told a friend about the AAS from Pierpont,
that I will be getting.
He has a BA in business.
Can he still get an AAS from Pierpont using his existing credits?
THANKYOU!!!

The Pierpont degree is meant for students who don’t yet have a bachelor’s or associate’s.

That's correct, usually I recommend people who have a Bachelors to get a balanced mix/match of the trifecta of certs, degree, experience. Depending on what they need and want, they can get a cert in an area of study that's different than their Business Bachelors and get experience in that area, an example is Cybersecurity and IT, or Project Management...
