Anyone find a good MBA program after Excelsior?
#1
I just got my eval back from Excelsior showing that I need only one more course, so now I want to start planning my MBA.

Has anyone found a cost effective, on-line, MBA that is thirty someodd credits and that you can step directly into from an Excelsior BSLS? Since my undergrad is not in business, some schools would expect me to take as many as five bridge courses.
At 52, I don't want to take four years to complete it, so the 48 credit degrees are out of the question.

I am looking for a school that is properly accredited.

thanks

Bmills,
Thanks, that sounds like what I am looking for. How long have you spent getting to the half way point? Can you work more quickly if you have a few months of free time to put into it?

Chadron State College (in my sig) is still on my short list. Around $10K and 8-week terms mean you can finish fairly rapidly. The breadth of coverage would be good for someone w/o a business degree (although they look for business pre-reqs, it looks like you can CLEP them). I'm leaning toward Jacksonville, though.

This school's accreditation seems a step lower than Jacksonville. Do you think that it is sufficient for most employers?

I like the TUI University programs.
You can go into an MBA program with an Excelsior BS Liberal Arts degree.

I think I'll be going into the Masters in Health Sciences.

There's no books to buy, they send you everything you need on a CD.
Master's Level:

The tuition is US $345 per semester credit hour for Master's level (500) courses.

TUI courses are four (4) semester credits, costing US $1,380 per course.
TUI University - Tuition & Fees

Military student's tuition is capped at TA level $250 a credit hour.

According to the Jacksonville prerequisites, they are asking for the following:
MGT 504 Business Organization and Administration (3)
BA 500 Statistics and Quantitative Methods (3)
ACC 200 Principles of Financial Accounting (3)
EC 222 Principles of Macroeconomics (3)
FIN 301 Business Finance (3)
FIN 292 Legal and Social Environment (3)
CBA 390 Operations and Technology Management (3)
MKT 301 Principles of Marketing (3)

Any idea what the CLEP or DANTES mapping to these items is?

Here is my guess at it, what do you think?

MGT 504 Business Organization and Administration (3)
.. DSST: Intro to Business

BA 500 Statistics and Quantitative Methods (3)
..DSST: Principles of Statistics

ACC 200 Principles of Financial Accounting (3)
..CLEP: Principles of Accounting

EC 222 Principles of Macroeconomics (3)
..CLEP: Principles of Macroeconomics

FIN 301 Business Finance (3)
..DSST: Principles of Finance

FIN 292 Legal and Social Environment (3)
..CLEP: Introductory Business Law

CBA 390 Operations and Technology Management (3)
..??

MKT 301 Principles of Marketing (3)
..CLEP: Principles of Marketing

I know the first 2 you listed wont cross over. No Clep is going to replace a 500 level class. The rest, I am not sure.
