Analyzing and Interpreting Literature

I see that someone has used InstantCert to study for this test, but it doesn't look like it is available. Does anyone have any info on this?

It must have been a mistake because there are no IC card for it...maybe they were referring to the specific exam feedback. You can try the free Peterson's Tests...good luck!

Check the specific feedback area of the forum if you are a paying member. There is usually a wealth of information there.

My thoughts, get the REA CLEP guide for it, take some Peterson's practice tests and go for it. Good luck

There is no mistake. There's really not much to study. People say "either you know the stuff or you don't". The best source is the IC specific feedback forum, CLEP guides, and Peterson's test. I might add, check out free-clep-prep.com, they have good info on tests.

I meant it was a mistake that the person wrote they used IC...obviously they were referring to the exam feedback...not the flashcards.

Here is a good description of the exam: Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com

It offers some suggestions, particularly the one about reading passages that are written using the language of the period.

The exam consists of reading a passage, then answering questions about it. Read another passage and answer more questions. This pattern repeats until you're done.

I just took the Analyzing & Interpreting Lit last week and got a 62. I used the REA CLEP prep book, it has 3 full-length exams, make sure you know the terms. Good Luck!

I took this last month using the REA book. The REA seemed to have a little too much info and scared me a little, but, it really is an easy test. You basically need to just understand what you are reading. I think (for me) the poetry was the hardest. Know some literary terms.

Oh, taking practice tests seemed more helpful than the actual study materials in the book! Take as many as you can to get a grasp of the passages.

I only scored a 54, but it was fine by me for 6 units!

Good luck!
