Analyzing & Interpreting Literature -- Attack!!!

You can buy them (or at least check out their selection of CLEP books) here: REA Online - Making The World Smarter. I'd recommend buying them at Amazon or Half.com.

This was a very passable test, but study like practice can never hurt.

REA is the name of the publisher -- once you check them out, they are cheaper on Amazon but many of the public libraries have them. Cost zero.

Great source with practice test, to help reinforce the InstantCert cards. Think of it as a mini (cheaper) textbook. If you take courses at a college your average textbook cost is about $125 - 150.

Once more, learning how to work smarter not harder -- or more expensive. Save the money for the upper level courses or your masters Smile

I can get the book at my local B&N, with the CD, for under 28.00. Since I am 'fat-tracking' this test (about two weeks) I plan on picking up a copy tomorrow.

Take the petersons practice exams as well. They will help.

This test can be taken cold by most test takers. I am NOT a fan of classic reading, poetry or long novels yet I passed this with one night's study. I went to the specific feedback section, looked up the terms I was not familiar with and then took the test the next day; easiest 6 credits one could ask for. Besides that, there's not much studying one can do to see how good their reading comprehension is...as many have already stated; you either have it or you don't.

Good luck and let us know how it went.

I didn't study at all for this test, but wish I would have. The majority of it is reading comprehension. Not too difficult, but enough to give you a headache from all the thinking Smile

But I passed with a 60. Had I known more literary terms, types of poetry, and the technical lingo behind the difference between one of those 5-sentence poems and whatever--had I known that, a 65-70 would have been relatively easy.

I'd still study, but wouldn't waste time... only about a week. Good luck! Check out the "specific exam feedback" forum for the best information

I took this test and a whim because everyone on the board mentioned how easy it was and I passed pretty easily. I wouldn't recommend much study unless comprehension is difficult for you.

Don't know about your first questions, since I'm not one of IC's paying members (yet); but yes, A&I Lit is worth 6 credits. Smile
