Analyzing & Interpreting Literature

I need to take the Analyzing & Interpreting Literature CLEP -- but I don't see a study guide / test on this system. Any other good ideas?

There is no material for this test because it is not one you can study too much for...you either have the ability to interpret literature or you don't. Please do a search on the forum and you'll find all the information you care to read about this test. Searches will give you instant answers to all burning questions you have.

study won't help on this exam. If you can read you should be able to pass.

Although this is not really a "study" exam, there is a little bit of studying you can do that will help. Review literary terms, especially poetic stuff. There are several questions that have you identify technical aspects of poetry.

I got the REA text and found it helpful as it gave me an idea of what I might be facing and reviewed the literary terms. I did have what I consider archaic English writings -- and was glad I was prepared to see them.

I took this CLEP last week; it was my first!

I don't remember any questions about literary terms on my version, but there were a lot of long texts with questions that had subjective answers. I had some Shakespeare, but a lot of poetry. If you can read pretty much anything quickly with fairly good comprehension, you shouldn't have any problems passing this with a good score.

I would add to them:

Literary Terms - I should have looked at examples of the main terms better and not just the definitions. It would have helped me to recognize them more quickly and saved some time.

A lot of people have decided to take this exam without studying. At least, learn more about this exam and decide based on your own background how much study time and materials you will need.
