Our rates in Texas are okay. Less taxes means less funding, and Texans tend to choose less taxes. Tennessee, on the other hand, is turning out to be quite progressive: free community college and the decriminalization of small amounts of marijuana.

Very true. It's still one class that is transferable to almost anywhere unlike the alternative credit options we discuss here. And you can make the California taxpayer help pay for your out-of-state education. Classes are 12 weeks instead of 16 weeks, so it's a similar pace to TESU.

I would be a bit reluctant to take a class that is less than 4.5 quarter credits, which is exactly 3 semester credits. A 5 quarter credit class is 3.33 semester credits. The 4 quarter credit class is 2.66 semester, so you'll need something else to make up for the deficiency in credits. But TESU will let you use a 2.66 credit course to satisfy the actual requirement.
