Before it transferred in as an elective. Then for a short period they accepted it as BUS 325. Now they apparently went back to treating it as an elective again. I hope that BUS 350 won't become an elective also, as I am half way through it. I have wasted alot of time doing courses that end up becoming elective filler courses. Conflict resolution was another waste of time. I am reluctant to do Communication at work, as it will likely end up as an elective and not COM 210.
Thanks on the tip about American government at UMPI, but I am already at 15 courses at UMPI with BUS 325. And there is no way I am doing the accounting major in two sessions with that amount of courses. I will probably struggle doing 15 courses in 3 sessions, but it is perhaps possible with full time work.

I know Jessica already told me twice it it won't transfer in as BUS 325, but Maine St. says the opposite. She thinks it may be a mistake and is checking with the credit transfer officer.

I really believe that Principles of Finance from Sophia was a fluke coming in as BUS325. The content is nothing at all the same. Principles of Finance and Financial Management really are 2 different topics. Financial Management was a pretty elaborate course with a great deal of content.

The transfer database shows how courses have transferred in the past. It's ALWAYS subject to change.

With more courses going towards electives, it's better to do BLS degree than doing 18 courses at UMPI.

I'm not looking at the Sophia DB that shows how courses have transferred in the past. I'm looking at MaineSt that says Courses that will transfer in as Bus 325.

I wasn't talking about Sophia. I was talking about the transfer database on MaineStreet. That's how classes have transferred in the past. Transfer courses are always subject to change. Lots of changes have happened this year. That's what happens when programs grow. They also have to make sure they're working within the confines of their accreditation. UMPI is also part of the U of M system so it has to work within the entire U of M system as well.

First, confirm that Meteorology course transfers as 3E to save us from that biology with lab. That course work is unbearable. I don't want to cut some mitochondria into half to get a degree, and work on databases.
In total agreement with you on this one. I have bounced to two other courses, avoiding working on Bio, regardless of knowing it needed to be knocked out. Meteorology is over half done because A: I'm into in and B: It's far more interesting.

Thank Goodness... I just completed this as part of my transfer plan...
Because things seem to move around so much, what would be a good "hedge" for something not being accepted as planned in a transfer?
If I transfer in only needing 5 UL Business classes, will I have the option to take 5 other classes at UMPI to complete the degree?
I don't want the added time and cost of having to take 11-15 classes at UMPI because the transfer program changed while I was in the middle of getting the courses finished.

You need to complete the majority of your UL courses at UMPI. UMPI offers every class needed to complete their degrees.
