Changes happen all the time. That's normal. This is why we say to get your courses done ASAP and transfer. I know everyone can't do that, but the longer it takes the more changes there will be.
But if these lists are latest, why would they change something in middle of a session? Either these lists are outdated, or errors.

There may be a few errors.  But generally, this would be for new students enrolling now.  Students who enrolled prior to this updated list, would have had their courses come in based on a prior list.

Things change constantly - some schools more than others.  This is why you must enroll as soon as possible and get your transcripts sent for an evaluation - or be flexible.  You cannot slowly gather credits and expect that changes won't happen.  I took 3 years from starting to get credits to enrolling at TESU, and in that time, 3 new catalogs came out; then, between enrollment and graduation, 5 more catalogs came out.  That means there were changes (both small and large) 8 times from start to finish.  What didn't change though, was my degree plan once I enrolled, and my credits once they were on my eval.  Those were set in stone.

If you're not ready to enroll now, then flexibility is key.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT TO ADD: during this time, it actually became EASIER, not harder, to complete my degree requirements!  I started in 2011.  Sophia came along in 2013, and have since lowered their prices dramatically (it was $329/course not that long ago); Study.com came along in 2016 I think, and has since added tons of courses that made it extremely easy to complete several degrees; Coopersmith and Davar came out in 2013; Kaplan had a free course; The Institutes had a free course; Sophia gave away a free course to many; Study.com gave away a "6 courses in 3 months" scholarship for many.

So not all change is bad - there has been SO much progress in the last 10+ years in the ability to earn a degree non-traditionally, and almost all of it has been GOOD!

There's a few things that are happening at UMPI. The entire U of M system has made a lot of significant changes over the year. We no longer apply directly to UMPI. We now apply through the U of M system and they process the application. Even though I was a graduate who came back for a second degree I still had to go through the entire process again. It was so weird! I asked the YourPace admissions about the difference and she told me about the huge change.

The other HUGE change is that there is now a Dean of CBE. She has made a bunch of changes. There were grading changes between semesters and there's now a formal document on how grading works. The course evaluations are constantly changing. The more people that apply with these courses means the courses go through even more scrutiny. Back when I started in 2020, I was the first one on here to go for an UMPI degree. It was super easy to get ACE courses approved then. Few people were doing it. Now there's a lot of people doing it so it's come under more reviews. U of M also seems to be working on being consistent across the who system and it's not all campus by campus anymore.

Are we talking about the other updated lists that are different from these? These are posted on Jan 8th, after the spring session-1 started. But these lists got outdated between Spring term-1 and term-2?

There have been changes to the transfer database since the first session started. If you have an active MaineStreet account you can check for yourself. Course acceptance is never guaranteed and can always change. Yes changes happen in the middle of the semester. Read above what I said has been happening. Things are constantly being reviewed and there's a ton happening behind the scenes that not many know about or realize.

I have started at Sophia.org on Jan 5th and earned 45 credits till now. Should I apply as soon as possible before the changes become worst? Or should wait untill 28th to complete remaining courses at Instantcert and SDC?

You're not locked into anything until they have processed your transcripts. Even if you take a class now it can be different by the time your transcripts are processed in a few weeks. Applying doesn't lock in transfer courses. It only locks you into the current catalog.

I will apply tomorrow no matter what. Atleast I will be saved from further changes.

@JannikT, take American Gov't at UMPI. You can finish in a couple of hours. Very easy reading and the final is a paper on any two government issues you want.

Yes, Sophia Intro to Finance now transfer in as an elective and not BUS 325

There is no course called Intro to Finance at Sophia, are you talking about Principles of Finance?

Someone who have the access to transfer database, can you please post the latest lists? Lot of changes happened since I planned my degree a month ago, and I wasted a lot of energy on some courses which are good for nothing now. I don't want to do it anymore. Thanks in advance.
