Hi all! Started yesterday-ran into the glitch yesterday morning too. Working on my BA in Mgmt & Leadership, have 21 courses to take. I’ve made some good progress on both courses, just waiting on my milestones to be graded on one so I can progress to the final. I’d love to request another course before the weekend! I’d love to get this done in 4 terms. Almost went to WGU, but they were dragging their feet with everything! Jessica was fantastic and I’m glad I made the switch so far.

@bookncook, where you not able to transfer in more courses before you begin? 21 is a bit over the recommended 10 or so... If it was 13 or 14, it would be more manageable and you can probably finish in two or three sessions. You may want to take courses you can't transfer and when you're done with the session, decide if you want to transfer more in.

I transferred in my AA, but am left with:
BUS101
ENG121
MAT140
GEO101 or SOC100
PHI152
BUS220
BUS244
BUS240
BIO105
BUS330
BUS260
BUS321
BUS325
POS101 or POS211
BUS440
BUS415
HUM103 or ENG211
BUS335
BUS469
BUS489
a BUS300+ elective
I was a bit surprised more didn't match!

@bookncook, just by looking at that list, you have at least a few that can be transferred in through Sophia.org alone (especially since you have the BIO105 requirement, you can get that done with Sophia.org instead of UMPI). Seriously, you need to review the WIKI on what can transfer and not, you can drop that down to 13 or 14 courses...

What science(s) did you transfer in? You should really try to avoid taking this class in particular. It will likely take up most, if not all, of a session on its own.
Sophia has:
Environmental Science (no lab)
Human Biology (with or without lab)
Intro to Nutrition (no lab)
Intro to Chemistry (with or without lab)
Depending on what you took already, pick what looks easiest and get permission to transfer it in ASAP.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

On it, and thank you! I appreciate it - I just made a list of what I can take via Study and Sophia. I'm assuming I can transfer more in as I get them done? Thanks again - you saved me $$, especially since I'm trying to pay as I go!

I transferred in Environmental Science from my AA, it has it as an elective on my transfer sheet.

It's probably an elective because you don't have a corresponding biology class. Did environmental science have a lab? If so, just take Human Biology or Intro to Nutrition. If it didn't have a lab, take Human Biology + Lab.

Don't worry about what Study has. Focus on what you still need to complete that you can finish on Sophia. With Sophia you can finish the entire GEC and some other courses.

Thank you all! It looks like I have 4 classes I've identified for Sophia (I'm already enrolled in Mat140 and Bus101 at UMPI and mostly through them.) (SOC100, PHI152, BIO105, ENG121).
I didn't see in the wiki much else I can - I'm nervous to waste time/money on something that won't transfer.
UMPI told me to finish what I want and then send it in, they only want to evaluate the transfers once.
Again, super appreciative of you all!

Probably not, but will you need any more elective credits when your environmental science class moves up to the GEC? You might want to take one or two non-overlapping quick zero-Touchstone Sophia courses just in case.
