I applied to UMPI in early 2023 but deferred enrollment because they would not accept most of my 27 DSST credits, however, they did plan to accept 6-9 credits of those credits, meaning I would lose 21-24 credits (20% of degree requirements). Instead, I applied to Pierpont for the BOG and graduated soon after. All 27 DSST credits were transcribed to my Pierpont transcript, resulting in a combined total of 101 credits (RA, DSST, and Sophia). I know UMPI will only apply of those 90 credits, if I'm lucky, toward my bachelor degree. Now that Pierpont has transcribed the DSST credits, do I have a better chance of UMPI accepting the DSST credits?
I meet their passing score requirements of
>400 for some exams and a passing score of
>48 for others. However, their webpage shows UMPI equivalents for all exams taken during the eligible period but does not display scores for most of the DSST exams:
https://www.umpi.edu/academics/credit-fo...ry-credit/
Does anyone have experience with UMPI accepting DSST exams listed on that webpage without a visible passing score? I plan to contact UMPI this week but wanted to ask for similar experiences first.
Thanks!

You will still need to send the DSST transcripts to UMPI. Did you take the exams during their valid period? This is on the page you provided:
Contact the Student Records Office for VA Benefits for further information. Our email address is
[email protected]. 207-768-9540.
I would contact them and ask them your questions. They would have the best and most current info.

Thanks for your reply, ss20ts. That's definitely my plan - to call them.
I'm hoping someone will share their experience - just to give me a bit of an idea about how things transpired.

Did you hear back from UMPI? I'm interested in taking some DSST exams for UL credit, but I don't know if UMPI still grants credit for them and/or what the minimum passing score might be. Thanks.

Side note.....the document says it was created in November 2023. With the changes to the GEC, this document could be really out of date.

I emailed UMPI about that page. I'm hoping the page is just out of date. I'd like to clear out BUS 350 via the organizational behavior DSST, but I think I'll probably take SL's equivalent course instead.
