ENEB Master Thread
Just got accepted into the DHA Program @ Virginia University of Lynchburg http://www.vul.edu/dha

They accepted my ENEB MBA+Master in Business & Corporate Communications with the Validential FCE. No questions asked!

One note to be mindful of.

*This program requires graduates to have a minimum of 90 graduate semester credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree. An externship of up to 24 credit hours may be required for students to fulfill this requirement.

If you decide to do this DHA, you will need 2 Masters degrees.

My MBA+ at ENEB gave me (MBA 39 & MBCC 18) = 57 + DHA 36 = 93 Total. SO I am over the 90 credit requirement. Keep that in mind or you will be required to take the (up to) 24-credit Externship.
Completed

I get needing 2 Master's degrees if a candidate wants to skip the Externship, but I don't get why 1 Master's (normally under 40 credits) wouldn't be enough for admission?

I wonder because that might be the toughest admission standard on earth. Most people (almost all) won't have 60+ graduate credits. Most Master's degrees in the United States are under 40 credits, so you'd need a Master's and a bunch of loose grad credits somehow, which of course isn't something that happens normally unless a person dropped out of a bunch of different Master's programs.

I must be just missing something.

I think 90 credits is a graduation requirement, not an admissions requirement: 90 - 36 (DHA) - 24 (externship) = 30

The admissions requirement is "A master's or doctoral degree in a related discipline awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by US Department of Education."

My apologies. I should have clarified the above formula and explained that "for admissions, you only need a masters or an already earned doctorate." The 90-credit requirement is for graduation purposes. You will not be able to graduate until you meet the 90-credits beyond the bachelor's degree, a policy required by the State of Virginia for this specific program, or you take the Externship of the credits required up to 24. In my case, I am exempt from the Externship requirement because of the aforementioned numbers. I will have above the 90 credits "because I have 2 Masters" that will add up to over 90 with the DHA.

1 masters is enough.

I got admitted with a 27 credit master's from University of Maine.

A friend of mine got in with a 39 credit MBA from ENEB. He'd have to do a 15 credit externship.

The externship isn't a big deal. Just journal how you're studying and what you're doing for work.

Now that's interesting. I didn't know Maine had Master's degrees under 30.

I guess if I were a student looking to enroll, the main reason I would be thinking about transferring in enough credit to cut the externship is to save money. I think the program works out to something like $500 per credit, so the savings could really add up.

I skipped 3 classes, because of my BA. if you do a BABA with UMPI they let you skip 3 classes if you got an A. They  mostly did it to lessen the burden on their professors, but, I took advantage.

In your resume, do you mention your ENEB degree?

Should we mention Masters as a graduate certificate?

No, because that would be a lie, and if you're asked to submit it they'll see that it's not a grad cert. Explaining the lie will be weird and will likely disqualify you from the job.

In short, when in doubt with credentials, always tell the truth.
