You can pass Analyzing and Interpreting Literature without studying if you are like literature and are well-read (see the threads with that title for more info on it). Snazzle's advice is perfect above.
I didn't know much at all about computers. I first took the DSST Management Information Systems (which was hard, but I passed) and then I took the CLEP Info Sys and Comp App (ISCA) which I also passed, but not by a wide margin. To study for ISCA, I used only instacert and studied a week. I thought it was a fairly hard exam, but then again I am a blonde that is no geek.
