Yes, that's what much of the exam consists of. They'll give you multiple examples of sentences, and you have to answer what's wrong. Some of them are laughably easy. Others, not so much. Punctuation always tripped me up. Semicolons, comma's, etc.
Yes again. Not so many on verbosity, but more in the terms of identifying when it's a run-on sentence.

Check out the free resources on this one. There's quite a few that have example questions. They also have a practice exam available for this test, which shows you pretty much exactly what they're going to be asking. Fifth or sixth line down takes you to a page that shows you how to access the practice exam.
