No, I haven't seen that this is limited to teachers.

Some information about ACTFL is toward the bottom.

I think it is really neat that it is possible to get credit for so many languages!

I'm waiting to confirm at my university that this exam is accepted because it is just an oral proficiency exam... Wish me luck. Language Testing International - Certified ACTFL Test - 60+ languages - Corporate, Government & Academic language proficiency testing doesn't show the cost of the exam... at least I haven't noticed it.
