His own administration used the term “trickle down economics”
There have been sixteen years of Republican presidents since Reagan.
Your own parents greatly benefitted from government subsidized education.
Bloated administrative fees and greed are leading to the college unaffordability crisis. Colleges are being run like a business rather than a services. Loans are just a symptom of this.
If the DOE is eliminated people will be forced to take predatory student loans, which will lead to further financial woes.
Quote where Reagan used the term to describe his economic policy which was supply side economics.
Whatever nonsense you believe about Reagan's economic policy could have been "undone" by Clinton and Obama but they never did.
My mother got a degree in education and worked exactly one year as a teacher, then was a homemaker and never used it again. My father put himself through college with no help from anyone, including his parents who were against him going and he supported the entire family comfortably for decades.
You have zero understanding of basic economics. The only reason colleges can charge their current tuition rates is because the federal government provides the money for young adults to pay for it. No bank would offer any such loan. Eliminate federally funded student loans and college tuition would drop like a rock, sure many inefficiently run schools would close and tons of useless degree programs would disappear but college would be affordable again. Using "greed" as a reason is an emotionally baseless argument.
