Pre-work could mean anything that will get you ahead in the course, so taking a free Excel course if you don't know excel, or watching some accounting videos would count.
I might brush up on anything that you don't already know for these and the rest of your courses if you're interested. Like, taking Sophia's Project Management course but not sending the credits; or doing Khan Academy math to brush up if it's been a while and you're going to have to take Business Math; or whatever will make the learning quicker once you get into the program.
It would mean different things to different people, and depends on the degree.
