Any programming language should work for the CIS certificate. (I currently have Python Programming from SDC applied.)
Electives for the computer science certificate need to be in computer science (not computer information systems). (CIS-107, CIS-311, and CIS-351 aren't being applied when I run a what-if.)
I'd check with an advisor about specific courses/sources, but there's no minimum number of upper-level credits for certificates. I was told that by Don.
