It's not super cheap, but using the tactic mentioned earlier, enrolling in a 1-credit 'normal' CSU-Global would then (theoretically? not sure if this has been tested) allow you to enroll in the self-study assessments, which are $250 per 3-credit course.
That 1 credit course will run $350 alone, so it's not cheap, but if you can knock out a few other courses using SSA, the per credit cost might not be quote so dear. Given that CSU gives you 16 weeks, a dedicated student could potentially get through multiple SSAs - especially if they're on topics one already has a good grasp on.
