Well, a short time ago I finished watching the last part of the Excelsior commencement ceremony, and I have to say I was surprised by how emotional I got! :o There was just something about hearing Pomp & Circumstance and watching all of the graduates file out that really got to me, probably because I could have participated in the ceremony myself if I'd really wanted to go. Now I wish I had!!
Anyway, watching the ceremony made me very proud to be a graduate of the Excelsior College Class of 2007, and it was also wonderful to see firsthand just how many "older" graduates there were! Another thing I loved seeing were all the flags representing all of the different countries that this year's graduates come from...that was cool.
After watching the ceremony, I would encourage all future graduates to try to attend their ceremony if at all possible...I have a feeling you won't be disappointed!
Good luck to everyone working towards their degree...you CAN do it!
