I took CLEP American Government. I used REA's Best Prep, Princeton Review's Cracking the AP U.S Government and Politics, and REA's AP U.S. Government & Politics Crash Course (my personal fave). All of them were very helpful. I found it necessary to know something about the 2008 presidential elections, as those were rather significant and the test had some questions on that. I scored a 60. Oh, and I didn't have the luxury of InstantCert at that time. Use it--it's great. I wish you success.
