Please keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming. I got my pathology report today and I do/did have papillary carcinoma of the thyroid. I will see the doctor on Friday to discuss my options, but they said the tumors had clear margins and all the lymph nodes removed were clear. I'm hopeful this is total treatment, although the nurse did say they may want to do radiation treatment. I'm not so sure about that with kids and working full-time. Thanks for all the support and well wishes. It has made a huge difference in my anxiety level.

Hi Marianne,
This is just the "what if process" to make sure all angles are covered, so try not to stress too much about it.
Wishing you health and strength from above and beyond.

I know it will be hard to wait until Friday, but clear margins and no lymph node problems are both good signs.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for asking! I'm recovering slowly, but each day I feel better and stronger. My throat is still a little sore and my neck is still sore, but I feel almost normal this week. I still get tired about mid-afternoon, but if I nap for about 30 minutes I'm ready to go again. I go back to work this week, so we will see how I do. I saw my family doctor this week and she thinks I'm done with treatment and my calcium level came back normal so now I'm off all the added calcium and vitamin D. My thryoid hormone levels are holding their own, so I will have to have that monitored every month for the next 6-9 months. We will have to get them regulated as they start to drop in the next few months. I see the endocrinologist 8/9 who will have the final verdict on radiation therapy. I'm conflicted about this treatment option, but we will see what he says. I'm hoping since 2 docs have already said I'm clear and done with treatment, he will agree!
