I'm sure the person who kept track of me meant well! It's sometimes nice to see people on the board who are just starting out and then a year later have degree in hand and are pursuing their dreams.

There's nothing creepy about it at all.
When you have been a part of the forum for a considerable amount of time and reading/contributing to the topics regularly then you are following the progress of many of the long term members here...furthermore you only need to read their signatures.
