University of Chicago
#1
I just received a job offer to work in the University of Chicago's athletic department!

(and no...I didn't get the job because my boyfriend is a scientist @ U of C!)

I was waiting for him to get off work one day and decided to see what jobs were available. There was an assistant personal training position and I decided to apply. Didn't tell anyone. Didn't think I'd get it.

I was just offered the position last week. I am 1 of only two personal trainers on campus.

I have to serve not just the students but also faculty, employees, etc.

So yes....having a personal training certification is a requirement...but I am sure without the degree I earned from Excelsior, they would have hired another personal trainer with a degree.

If U of C hired me with an Excelsior degree, it is legit!

Thanks! I know that if I didn't have my degree and only armed with a personal trainer cert....

I wouldn't have received the job. Could I have worked at a big box corporate gym with only a cert? Sure!

But U of C? Oh no.

Without Excelsior...I'd be stuck in a job I hated.

Now I love getting up for work. I love it. It's a great feeling.

Btw, My Cert- NCSF is Ace approved for college credit!

So far so good at my new job. I love it. It's a little odd going to work and loving every minute of it.
