Everyone's toughest exam was..

Cold_navy Wrote:The toughest test to take is always the NEXT test on the list.

This is very much the truth. Once I pass a test, I look my list of tests I still need to take and think to myself, “this next one will be hard.”

Maybe it’s just me….

Nope, it's not just you....I do it too!

My wife always laughs at me. I haven't taken an exam yet that didn't deserve the utmost respect. But my NEXT exam always makes me nervous, until it is over.

------

BEFORE EVERY EXAM

Me: "This next exam could be a tough one."
My Wife: "You said that about the last one."

Me: "I know, but this one REALLY seems like it might be hard."
My Wife: "You'll figure it out. You're going to do great."

Me: "I know but...."

AFTER THE EXAM

My Wife: "How did it go?"
Me: "I think I did alright, but I'm not sure. I'm glad it's over."

WHEN THE SCORE ARRIVES

My Wife: "Well, how did you do?"
Me (smiling): "I aced that sucker. It was SUCH an easy exam!"

THE NEXT DAY

Me: "This next exam could be a tough one."
My Wife: "You said that about the last one."

Me: "I know, but this one REALLY seems like it might be hard..."

------

Ha ha! Round and round we go!
My name is Rob

I took a one credit course through Hudson Valley CC to satisfy that requirement - $70 - took it online through SUNY Learning Network (SLN). Seemed like the best alternative.

what was the exact name of the course? Could you post a link for it? Is there a proctored exam or can it all be accomplished online? It's a much better price than the Excelsior one!

Biology was the most difficult exam for me. I studied for 3 weeks, about 2 hours a day. Ended up with a 55. My lowest score was 51 in Eng. Comp. w/ Essay (51) but I didn't study at all for that exam.

So far my hardest test has been the Social Sciences and History CLEP. I am trying to study for the English Literature one, and have very little material to work with, so that one is giving me a headache right now.

The toughest CLEP exam I've taken is probably Humanities, with Microeconomics coming in second place. Smile

As apparent by my signature, the US Histories are my demise, and I'm not even sure why. We just don't mix.

I think one reason was that I didn't use the practice exams (REA, etc.) to the best of their ability. I went in thinking I could pass, but had no proof of that. It was... sad. ::laughs:: but I have moved on to other tests, and when I return to them, I'll be sure to know that I even have a chance of passing before attempting. Smile

English Literature was extremely difficult to study, and it took a long time, longest I've taken on a test... but it was a rewarding test to pass. Same with English Comp. w/ Essay, though not as tough.

My easiest test was Analyzing & Interpreting Literature, and was the first test I took, which was definitely on purpose. Wink

Now I'm studying for Intro to Psych, and I think it will be relatively easy.

annakate,
I agree with you that the hardest CLEPs for me were also the US History I & II CLEPs. I'm just happy that was able to pass them. I say I guessed on atleast half of the questions for both.

Hardest one for me, without a doubt, was CLEP Biology. I used Instantcert and a textbook, but I still barely passed by the skin of my teeth and I was WAY out of my depth on the exam.

The second hardest for me so far has been CLEP Intro to Psychology!!! (I just took it yesterday!) NONE-- and I mean NONE-- of the Instantcert material was on it and I really have no clue how I passed.
