I passed the CISSP exam on Saturday. Not only is that a good certification to have, but it's also worth 3 UL ACE credits!

At many schools, IT certs are worth much more than ACE will give them. The CISSP is worth 25qcr LL, 12qcr UL, and 24cr Grad-level at Purdue Global. It's worth 20cr (4 courses) at WGU in Cybersecurity.

Lots of schools give credit for IT certs that don't even have ACE approval, so I totally agree with your statement. And in regards to WGU, their MS in cybersecurity pretty much covers 90% of the material on the CISSP exam.
