Anyone else looking forward to the CS degree finally coming to UMPI later this year? I can't wait! Although it does look like it'll take around 3 terms - seems like a lot of courses will need to be done at UMPI itself.
Does anyone know if the degree has exams or if it's writing papers like their BABA?

UMPI doesn't have exams in the YourPace program.

Would be interesting to see how they do half the courses for the
CS program - especially the ones like Linear Algebra and Discrete Math - without exams. Perhaps this might end up being the only fully essay-based BS in CS program.

The already have math and accounting courses without exams. Everything isn't a paper. There are projects and PowerPoints as well.

I was surprised to find that MAT 101 had a 15-page research and analysis paper final before the move to Brightspace. I agree that it will be interesting to see what they come up with for the new YP courses.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for the Youpace CS program. They’ve been delaying the launch for so long that I’ve already earned a Master’s from GT.

Basically... It's a new program, they've not launched yet, may be later in the year or end of 2025/early 2026... If you need to get the degree quickly, then look elsewhere, if you're not in a rush and looking to wait, then that's all you can do...

It'll be added to the YourPace application in June for October session this year as per screenshots shared on Discord. Hopefully they keep it to that timeline.
