You are going to have papers to write in several classes, no matter which major you pick. My wife had to write papers for the classes she took in BGS. The difference between my wife and I, is she is a strong writer and can just knock out the papers, while I have to really slow down to figure out how to put my thoughts on paper. I can fly through reading assignments and multiple choice or fill in the blank. My wife and I are definitely opposites when it comes to study skills and strengths and weaknesses in a class.

I suppose that is good to hear then. I am a strong writer as well, minus history. I failed every single History 2 paper pre-test. I am considering just failing the course and taking Hist 2 on sophia and transferring it in. Never struggled so much interpreting a prompt as I have in this history class lol.

If you can withdraw from the course then do so, then transfer in the credit. But don't fail it - a failure counts against you (and your GPA) even if you transfer in the requirement from an outside source.

I'll double check the drop date, I am in week 4 of 7 so I think it may have already passed.

If you can't drop it, push through it. Even a D is better than an F.  Maybe you can manage a C, as it would be just good enough to put it behind you and not knock your GPA down too much at all. I think you can do it!
The only bad thing about this program is you must get an 80 or above in the classes to pass. I did part of the post-test just now and so far am maintaining an A, somehow. I failed the pretest pretty badly in the writing, but post-test seems a bit easier.

Does anyone happen to have a list of East Texas A&M (formerly TAMUC) BGS electives vs. BAAS ORGL electives? And possible a comparison (even partial) of workload, final paper length, etc.? Any info appreciated!

I started a thread on here reviewing all of my classes for ORGL. My wife took BGS, but she is not on this forum, and did not review her classes. The programs are similar in the amount of work required. The classes I took in ORGL were not on the list of electives for BGS. My wife and I only took 1 class that was the same, and it was one of the upper level electives outside of the 10 classes needed for the major.

I have a friend who is taking ORGL currently, and he said the assignment requirements for some of the classes have changed when he compared them to my review notes from last year. Another friend is a few classes ahead of him, and they noticed changes in the assignment requirements also.

When I took ORGL last year, there were several (almost all of the) classes that need to be updated and you could tell the material in them was 10 years old.

CID 338 Talent Leadership in Human Resources is a good elective for BGS. Upper level and not a heavy lift at all of work.
