Hi everyone! I got my transcript evaluation back from UMPI today, and I have attached the PDF to this thread.
I was surprised my RA Astronomy credit and my Sophia Intro to College Mathematics credit were transferred in as electives, and they did not meet the 3D and 3A/3B GEC requirements, respectively. According to the wiki and one of the 'important' threads, it looked like they would meet those requirements.
Anyway, to meet all the GEC requirements I am missing, it looks like I will need to take the courses below.
English 105: College Comp 2 (SDC)
Business Math (SDC)
Into to Ethics (Sophia)
Visual Communications (Sophia)
Art History 1 (Sophia)
Human Biology & Lab (Sophia)
Environmental Science (Sophia)
Into to Sociology (Sophia)
Spanish 1 (Sophia)
US Govt. (Sophia)
To meet some of the BABA Accounting requirements, it looks like I can take the courses below. I've already completed Intro to Business (Sophia), but it was after I sent my transcripts in, so it's not reflected on the evaluation.
Business Math (SDC duplicate) for MAT140
Accounting 201 & 202 (SDC) for BUS 361 & 362
Business Law (Sophia) for BUS350
Business Ethics (Sophia) for BUS353
Workplace Communications (Sophia) for COM210
That would leave me with exactly 10 courses (30 credits) to take at UMPI: BUS 200, 220, 244, 325, 440, 469, 352, 376, 378, and 464.
I am debating whether I should finish my BS Interdisciplinary Studies at my current college to have the GEC requirements waived, or just take all of the Sophia/SDC listed above. Finishing my current BS would involve taking an intense capstone course with several research papers at my current college, the 6 SDC and Sophia courses that transfer for the business/accounting courses listed above, and 3 easy Sophia courses that my current school requires. I would need to complete all of this by the end of July to meet the deadlines for both schools which is definitely possible. There are pros and cons to both routes.
I wanted to post this here to ask for suggestions and make sure I am not missing or misinterpreting anything! Thank you so much for your help!
