Well i actually applied to a Canadian college and got accepted, but unfortunately my visa was refused as i applied to take my family with me as i have 2 kids and don't want to stay apart from them for a long time.
It's been impossible to find someone to hire an international worker, and we used to have "cash flow" but my savings have been wiped out by the economic crisis and my business severely affected by the port explosion so the only option left now is another degree to guarantee invitation since i don't need much more points.
The UK level 7 degree is a great idea, but i tried checking the schools i found online in the WES degree equivalency tool and none of them showed up.
If i go ahead with this anyway, might my degree not get recognized?
Option 1 is great as well but to be honest, i would be simpler for me to study for a simpler degree like the UK level 7 in supply chain (my job) than do a full MBA as i have been out of university for a long time and have work and family commitments. But how hard is the material and how realistically can they be finished in a short time?
To answer your questions... 1) In 2018, my buddy asked me about immigration to Australia, they have a 2 year diploma and wanted to get an extra year of education. I told them about the UK Level 7 diplomas and he had it evaluated for immigration purposes, it came out to a graduate diploma (not a degree). In the end, I told him he didn't really need it as he was moving after marriage, it's just a formality to have an extra year for employment later and he was able to get a government job with it.
2) In regards to use for Canada, I've been telling people to use the 1 year UK Level 7 Diploma for several years now, as I know it will transfer into a graduate level diploma and add a year of education to their applications. Since 2015, I haven't had any rejections or anyone telling me that they've failed to get that 1 year added towards their Bachelors yet.
3) These technically should be 1 year to complete, but alas, it's all self paced... you can complete them in 3, 6, 9 or the entire 12 months, depending on how "fast" you can complete these, they usually have a "cheaper" tuition package if you can complete it sooner. Most of these can be had for just above 1K BP (do not go for anything cheaper as there are many that are under 1K but their UK standard is not using the ATHE, BEC, LRN, OTHM qualifications that have Ofqual, some even have created their own qualifications - don't go for those) Thanks again for your detailed answer, this was just what i needed. I'm looking for some schools and will study for level 7 diploma and i can still top it up to a masters if i need to for the future. Cheers!!
Any update on the Level 7 diploma? Do you study online or a offline school?

Out of curiosity, did you do it with LRN, Cardiff, or with another uni/learning provider?

Hi Petrikor, I looked at lsbr and it's a bit ambiguous on how the assignment is laid out. Is the course assignment also just a final paper or also quiz/progression check?

Hello,
I am now also looking into the "Level 7 diploma" thing. Since, my plans were to do ENEB, but people are claiming that it might not be accepted by WES anymore. Too much conflicting information. But just out of curiosity, are you going to use it for Canada? I heard that it is considered post-graduate diploma by WES. Does that basically mean, that it would be similar for having a masters degree for immigration purposes?
As to othm, how are the exams there? Is it all proctored? Is it difficult and a lot of reading and writing? And what did you submit for the admission? How much did it take you? It it a specific program that you did there?
Thank you very much.

How much did you pay for OTHB Level 7? The fee structure is confusing. It does not tell if its per credit or for the whole degree...

You're looking at 1K USD at each level UK Diploma on average, it's all assignments/assessments, no exams, non-proctored writing is all that you're doing (it's exactly the same as ENEB). People finish these programs in 3, 6, 9, 12 months, depending on their energy/time they have to spend on it, it's also cheaper if you finish faster too as they give discounts, make sure they're OfQual and you're good...

Do you know of any masters top-up degrees you can finish the degree at for less than 2k USD? So far, you have talked about Cardiff Metro but it was like 3-4k pounds.
ALso, since ENEB is out of the game (Can i request refund and abandon it? XD bought their dual masters just a few weeks ago with your ambassador code), what about ESEI and BEBS?
THey also offer titulo propio, but when chosing them in the WES add credential tool, it does not give me the warning that you get when trying to add ENEB to evaluate.
Isn'T ESEI and BEBS the same? I seem not being able to find some kind of event/groupon/ambassador kind of thing to reduce the price from the 10k they advertise.
