Pierpont Areas of Emphasis

Although I'm doing my best to match up AoEs with courses, based on the Pierpont catalog, these should be taken with a huge grain of salt unless confirmed by Nancy Parks as accurate.

A note for the emphasis is that, you just need 'acceptable' courses in that emphasis. For example, you want an emphasis in Music, as long as you have a community college that offers 15 credits of 'Music', you're good to go. For those that want something in trades, you can do the same, a vocational diploma may in fact work for this too.

I think I have finished the page. Bear in mind that this is a first-run pass and most of these AoEs haven't been tested yet! Be kind to Nancy Parks if you're hoping for one of the more obscure AoEs and the courses don't work out as listed on the wiki.

If she says no to something I've listed as a possibility, please let us know so the page can be updated.

Some of the AoEs could be a bit expensive if one doesn't already have the courses for it. Still generally cheaper than the typical Associate degree, however.

Please add Project Management as an AoE.  I've seen some people with it. And I'd make a note that Marketing may be able to be concluded as an AoE in Digital Marketing - if someone has 15 credits in Digital Marketing studies. There are some slight nuances in these terms, and the exact AoE of Digital Marketing might be more helpful to someone as these are 2 different disciplines. While someone may not find all available credits through online alternate resources, it's possible they have some of the course classes done through their prior college, and only need the Google DM certificate to seal that AoE.

I don't remember ever requesting an AoE, but Nancy listed mine as Info Systems.

I wonder why Drafting isn't available as an AOE? Sad, as I had a CAD certificate and everything, but it doesn't look like any of that will help with an AOE.

Did you click the link I had on post #6? When I click the link and go down to the D's, Drafting is part of the list. You have to make sure to have at least 15 credits in drafting, it can be anything that they take, here's the list from that page.
