Total credits: 85. Also added but not included above was the old The Institutes Ethics for 2 credits. Including ASU, I have exactly 100 credits with Pierpont. Now we'll see if they let me graduate. I have some concerns about so many classes being coded as "Free Electives".
That's exactly my concern, Rachel. But in your case, I suspect the issue is simply that they only require 21 credits of Gen Eds, and they gave you credit for 30:
ACCT 2201 Principles of Accounting I CR 3.000
BUSN 1102 Introduction to Business CR 3.000
ECON 2201 Economic Principles & Probs I CR 3.000
ENGL 1104 Written English I CR 3.000
HST 1102 United States History II CR 3.000
MTH 1200 Intermediate Algebra CR 3.000
PSYG 1101 Introduction to Psychology CR 3.000
SCY 1101 Introduction to Sociology CR 3.000
HST 1101 United States History I CR 3.000
MTH 1212 College Algebra CR 3.000
Can you please give us the Sophia/ASU/etc course names that slotted in for each of these? I'm trying to come up with the equivalencies according to Pierpont's Gen Ed requirements:
COMMUNICATIONS: ENGL 1104 AND ON OF THE FOLLOWING: ENGL 1108, 1109; COMM 2200, 2201, 2202
MATHEMATICS AND/OR SCIENCES: MTH 1207, 1212; (Most college level math classes can count for this requirement. Please check with program coordinator) SCIE 1100, 1103, 1105, 1115, 1120; CHEM 1101, 1105; PHYS 1101; GEOL 1101
COMPUTER LITERACY: INFO 1100 OR TEST OUT
SOCIAL SCIENCES: ECON 2200, 2201; GEOG 2210; HIST 1107, 1108, 2211, 2212, 2213; POLI 1103; PSYC 1101; SOCY 1110
Thanks!

- English/Communications: ENGL 1104 is Sophia English Comp I. I suspect that English Comp II will be either 1108 or 1109. I've now started a request to send my SDC transcript to Pierpont. If they accept SDC directly, I'm hoping that the course TESU accepts as Public Speaking from there will fulfill one of the COMM requirements. Otherwise, I'll just finish English Comp II and/or Public Speaking at Sophia and send that in. Have to admit to being slightly disappointed that Foundations of English Comp is a free elective.
- Math/Science: MTH 1212 appears to be Sophia Algebra while MTH 1200 is likely Foundations of College Algebra from Sophia. No Sophia courses have come in as science classes. A bit confusing because Sophia has Human Biology and Pierpont offers Human Biology as SCIE 1100. But I'm at least covered here with my two Algebra courses. ASU Astronomy didn't even come in as a science. It came in as a free elective, even though the ASU credits were the ones added first.
- Social Sciences: ECON 2201 - I think this is Macroeconomics from Sophia. But this requirement is definitely covered with Sophia's Sociology & Psychology that come in as SCY 1101 and PSYG 1101 respectively. Also, HST 1101 is Sophia US History I and HST 1102 is US History II from Sophia.
- Computer Literacy: Sophia's Intro to IT class apparently didn't cover this, judging by course numbers. I dunno why. Coursera's Google IT certificate might cover this. Otherwise, I should have this covered soon with ASU in one way or another. I'll be finishing CIS105 (Computer Apps & IT) at ASU next week and I'm working on CSE110 (Programming for Everyone) which will finish in about 2 months.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Still nothing on my end. I sent the transcript to esprocessing@pierpont.edu on 09/03/2020 and so far, not a peep. It's just 2 credit classes too.
I sent an e-mail and only got this back:
We received your ACE transcript in the processing department on 09/30/2020. It has been sent off to the registrar's office and is waiting to be transcribed. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Appreciate it.
Trying to put together a BOG AAS spreadsheet, but there doesn't seem to be much info available on the Gen Eds. Based on your experience, it seems like the only Sophia courses that are safe to go with at this point are the two Algebra courses, probably English Comp I & II, Sociology and Psychology, and U.S. History I & II.
I have a theory with the IT courses. Even though this isn't clear from Pierpont's description of INFO1100, I suspect that what they're really looking for is an Information Literacy requirement in all but name. I know that I had at least 13 IT credits, some of them UL, and none satisfied my ILR at EC. I ended up taking Info Lit at Davar to cover that. I don't want to speak out of turn, but I've got my fingers crossed that Pierpont will accept Baypath's Foundations of Digital Literacy, since that's in the bag already and it's RA too.

I have information literacy from SDC, though. And according to https://www.pierpont.edu/ac/coursecatalog/bogv-comp they're looking for one of 3 possible courses. https://www.pierpont.edu/ac/coursecatalog/comp-1100 sounds like Sophia's Intro to IT. while https://www.pierpont.edu/ac/coursecatalog/ofad-1150 (INFO 1100) sounds like it could be a fit for ASU's CIS-105. https://www.pierpont.edu/ac/coursecatalog/comp-1101 uses VBASIC so I don't know if my programming (Python & Java) class will count, but I've got to finish it anyway for TESU. I don't want to do the Davar info lit. Very annoying.

Wow, that's confusing. The Baypath IL course was a real slog, sure hope they accept it.

Pierpont received my SDC transcript. They then emailed me to let me know that I should send my SDC courses through on ACE. Yeah, well, one of them isn't in ACE, it's NCCRS (AFAIK). Pierpont is listed in the NCCRS registry. Let's see if they actually accept it.
I got a response that NCCRS classes are accepted so long as they are on an ACE transcript. What? If that's the case, they don't accept NCCRS classes.

If that's true, it might be worth calling or emailing NYS ED. I've found them to be responsive and helpful.
