UExcel statistics
#1
Does anyone have experience with the UXcel statistics exam (MAT 210x)?
Is it doable for someone who has very little knowledge in statistics?
I did a little research about the textbook that they recommend for that exam and pretty much everyone says that the book is horrendous.
Any other ideas? I need something with a letter grade.

If I use Study.com to learn the material (not for credit) will that prepare me adequately? Is there something better?

Instead of Study.com, I would suggest signing up for ALEKS (unless you already have a SDC membership). ALEKS is only $20/mo. and works quite well for teaching maths. That should prepare you for the UXcel.

Thank you for that info! (And also for the Tel Learning info in your other post)
Does ALEKS have a program specifically for UExcel like SDC seems to have? If not, how would I know which parts to learn and what to skip?

It does not; it just teaches you statistics. You need to have a decent grasp of "everything" to be able to pass the exam anyway.

Sophia has Introduction to Statistics. Sophia is $79 a month now. Open book exams. All of the info you need is in the Sophia course. You can take the exams - Milestones - at home. They have practice Milestones as well. Milestones are basically a unit test then there's a final. It's all open book. My transcript from Sophia is done through Parchment and they include the numeric grade for the course. UMPI accepted this and gave me the grade I received in the Sophia courses.
