Excelsior University will no longer offer UExcel exams after the Summer 2022 trimester. If you are interested in taking a UExcel exam(s), the deadline for registration is Thursday, June 30. The last day to take a UExcel exam is Sunday, August 21.
Has anyone heard if there will be an alternative taking over these tests moving forward?

It depends on the test and purpose, but some of them don't have any good alternates. It's such a shame that these exams have been lost.

Hopefully, TESU, and DSST pick up the slack. This is a massive loss for specific areas.

It is a loss, I don't think there are any TECEP or DSST that has been added recently. Hopefully ACE options such as Sophia.org or Study.com continue to add courses to their list that "overlap" these outgoing UEXCELS. Some new provider might come out and fill the void, who knows...

DSST hasn't done much the last few years; and no UL added in a long while (and what ones they used to have got downgraded ages ago).
The only TECEP's they added in the last few have been LL. Nothing remotely close to UL History or Soc courses like the UExcels. I'm guessing nobody will step up to the plate with good offerings in these areas.

I’ll be graduating from excelsior pretty soon and instead of the Uexcel exams I pretty much did coopersmith. There are some that don’t have alternatives or one that I know of…
