Does the degree actually say Pierpont on it? or Fairmont? the reason i ask is at my work we have a talent profile with hundreds, if not thousands of colleges in it and Pierpont does not show up... So I was wondering if that's what shows on the diploma. If anyone has a pick of it feel free to share!

Thank you!

How would I know if I received an area of emphasis?

AoE would be on your transcript. PTCC only allows RA credits to count towards AoE.

You're right. From Ms. Parks herself:

Only credits that carry letter grades can count toward an Area of Emphasis. If you don't have an obvious area of emphasis, your transcript notation will say "General Studies." Frankly, I don't think that's a big deal. It doesn't show up on your actual diploma, and your computer certifications can then be an extra line item or two on your resume.

I know you guys are probably correct but I hope not. I have 9 credits of Information Technology from an RA college graded. I then have 9 credits of institutional information technology Pierpont awarded me. I was hoping to have an AoE which was one of the reasons I choose Pierpont over the others.

Thanks for answering my question Smile

On a different note. Do we have an all encompassing page that lists all these requirements? Like a BOG Wiki? If we don't I was thinking of making one. We could list the general requirements and possibly a list of the class's that have transferred in.
WGU BSCSIA (In progress starting Feb 1st 2019)  49/122 credit hours.
PierPont BOG A.A.S 2018

CompTIA A+,Sec+.
SL. Intro to Environmental Science, Intro to Biology.  6 Credit hours.
Brick and Mortar college's 50 RA credits.
Pierpont institutional credit  INFO 2207, INFO 2256, INFO 2305. 9 Credit hours.
Sophia.
Developing Effective Teams, The Essentials of Managing Conflict. 2 Credit hours
The Institutes. 312N-H Ethics, 2 credit hours.
Brick and Mortar College. Eng 205 research writing, 3 credit hours.

CLEP. Information Systems, 3 Credit hours.
Stanford Online. America's Poverty and Inequality Course, Statement of accomplishment.

Can anyone see an actual transcript? Or something other than the Unofficial one?
We are all on the same side here, trying to better our lives....so let's get along and help each other out.

Learn a trade. Gain technical skills. Make money, then use this money to get a degree...if you have the desire.

I don't think so. Perhaps add it to our current Wiki?

Just verified. No mention of Pierpont or BOG AAS in current Wiki.
