Network design. The process of implementing an EISP is far more detailed than what they seem to be looking for (but would be fun).

Are you breaking out Visio or is it pretty much all text based?

Seems mostly text-based. I may have to create a diagram as a deliverable, but it doesn't appear to be necessary.

So far, it's been a bit slow, but smooth. I just needed a short break to recharge before finishing this up. This doesn't feel at all like my old tech writing projects, where you simply reference sections and reiterate only small portions (some overlap, but nothing too extreme, often just a rewritten snippet from Section A in Section D). Instead, this project is something along the lines of:
- Section 1 (Proposal overview) - Summary of the problem + implementation
- Section 2 (Review of other work) - Research and explain why you are going to do the things you intend to do
- Section 3 (Project rationale) - Partial repeat of Section 1, restating the problem and further explaining implementation goals
- Section 4 (Methodology) - Further explain implementation, this time the project management technique you intend to use
- Section 5 (Deliverables and goals) - Relate implementation plan and methodology to a list of distinct objectives and the deliverables which support the objectives. Synthesizes all of the information from Sections 1-4 in a different way.
- Section 6 (Timeline) - Translate your deliverables and goals to a timeline. This is horrendously inefficient, as I could have done this in the deliverables section...
- Section 7 (Outcome) - Basically restate Section 1 and talk about the end goal in detail, rather than the problem in detail.
As a result, it basically repeats itself in every section with 50+% overlap.

Proposal was accepted today. I'm working on the post-implementation report now. If my plans work out, it will be submitted by Sunday, putting me at a month to complete.

Submitted my final draft last night. Currently 73 in the queue.
My CM approved every section before I sent it in, so the evaluation team's approval should just be a formality.

Great job! This is so exciting
Taskstream gives me anxiety. I submitted something Thursday afternoon and right now I'm stuck in spot 8 and have been forever. Just waaaaaiting.
It must feel nice to know you're one step or so a way from graduation. Even if you have a revision, you're basically there!

Thanks! I concur with the anxiety thing, but I decided to submit this one and let it go. The Proposal jumped up in numbers inexplicably (literally went from 113 to 119 on day 2), so I simply had to let it be. Plus, I have something else on my plate at the moment that is of greater relative importance.
It's a bit of a relief, but I won't actually feel good and excited until I've been approved for graduation.
