Currently doing Educational Psychology through them. I wouldn't call it "easy" but it's definitely been my favorite way so far to earn credit. I intend to also do Human Growth & Development and History of the Vietnam War in the coming weeks. The best part is that many of the courses are given upper level credit at TESU.

How did the final proctored exams align with the courses? I'm just about ready for the Abnormal Pysch exam and Research Methods is next.

I am in fact transfering to TESU, but only need to pick up two out of the many Study.com offers. Most my pysch stuff was previously taken care off elsewhere. Good resource for others though!

Yes, the College Accelerator is the only way to get credit. 2 courses/month.
There is a special through homeschoolbuyersco-op.com, where it's $990/year https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/study.com/?c=1 (it's really only good if you need to take a lot of courses).

My son just did Marketing. I think if you're fast enough, it's a good deal. You need to be able to test twice a month. If you are slower (like my son/kids) and do every video in every lesson plus other homework/etc. then it's not very cost effective.

How is the final grade calculated? Do the quizzes and chapter exam count towards the final grade, or only the final exam?
I'm considering this, but I have a bit of test phobia, knowing only on exam will count. Are the open book, closed book?
Thanks so much!

Study.com allows you to change your subscription status beginning with each month's anniversary date. So you could signup for the $100/month plan and then when ready to test for credit (2 max), upgrade to the $200 plan, and then retrograde to the $100 plan until ready to test again. I look at it as paying $100 for test fees. Give that you don't have to buy textbooks, it seems very competitive to me compared to SL especially if you like structured course video learning, although it's been reported in another thread that the quality of video content can vary widely among courses.

You're not required to watch every video, just take the quizzes?

you're not required to do anything- you receive credit by passing the final.

I don't think you can access the final without getting 80% on the chapter exams, but yes the credit comes solely based on how you did on the proctored final.

You don't have to watch the videos, but you can't take the final until you have 80% or better on the quizzes.
