Has anyone received college credit by taking courses via Study.com?
If so, which courses did you complete?

Thanks for your replies!

Currently going through the Abnormal Pysch coursework, really enjoying the setup right now. I'll check back in when I take the exam. All the in-course quizzes and chapter exams are right from the videos, word for word. I'll let you know how the final credit exam matches up.

Thanks for your quick response. Study.com appears to be an easier way to study and take identical Clep and DSST course exams. I want to know if any one has had problems with their University, Community College, or CCAF ..Not accepting the courses/credits.

Not all schools accept ACE credit, which is what study.com courses count for. Many schools only accept some ACE credit - for instance, my local school will accept Some CLEP, DSST, and military ace recommendations, but do not accept any other ACE credit (like study.com, ALEKS, Straighterline, etc.) - in point of fact, they will not even evaluate an ACE transcript - they only accept military transcripts and score reports directly from CLEP and DANTES. Every school has different policies, so it's important to understand where you're going to want to transfer credit before you pay to take courses. Even pay attention to what kinds of grad schools you might be thinking of attending - some schools also won't accept ACE credit to satisfy pre-requisites, even if they were part of your bachelors degree program.

I've done Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, and Research Methods in Psychology through study.com over the last couple of months. Currently doing Educational Psychology through them. I wouldn't call it "easy" but it's definitely been my favorite way so far to earn credit. I intend to also do Human Growth & Development and History of the Vietnam War in the coming weeks. The best part is that many of the courses are given upper level credit at TESU.

Here's the link to the study.com to TESU course equivalency list: Thomas Edison State College

Where do you want to transfer it to? This is a good TESC/Study.com alignment source Thomas Edison State College
Aleks: College Algebra | Intermediate Algebra | Precalc | Intro to Statistics
Free: Ethics(cr), bunch of fema courses
CLEP: Principles of Management
Working on: College Composition CLEP.
Future: Maybe the DSST for Technical Writing, but I'm not 100% yet... Smile

Goal: BSBA General Business, TESC

I think it's the best way to earn credit for UExcel's that are more than the $95, and also if you don't have a convenient place to take CLEP/DSST exams. With my testing center 45min away, and crazy hours, and with kids I don't want to leave at home in the middle of the day, it's a good option (haven't needed it, because I'm down to TECEP's - but I would use it if I could).

Thanks for the TESC link!! It's good to know that TESC will accept and give credit for practically all of the courses that are offered by Study.Com.
I believe that same policy goes for CCAF.

They have the Basic Edition, the Premium Edition, and the College Accelerator ("earn college credit") Edition. The other two packages do not list this. Is the College Accelerator ($199/month) the only way to have the credits transfer over to say EC?

From their FAQ.

Quote:College Accelerator allows students to take courses that have been recommended for credit by ACE and take the online final exam. This is the only way to earn transferable college credit directly from home through Study.com.
