Rank 'em (easiest to the hardest exam)

I'm new to this. I am currently with the University of Texas at Austin Extension. Courses are costly but affordable. I want to give CLEP a try since most Tier 1 campuses accepts it. What is the easiest CLEP exam to start with? Thanks guys!

I tend to agree with this list: Clep Difficulty List - Free-Clep-Prep.com but would say start out with what sounds good to you. It depends on the persons background or how much you are willing to study. If you have any kind of reading comprehension skill I'd recommend you start with Analyze & Interpret Literature. It is 6 credits and I didn't find it that hard (nor am I big on reading). I like DSST tests more though, although I think that is because of my job experience and how it helped pass several of those.

You of course should also look at the "stickied" posts on the general page and can search at the top for any specific test you want.

Check with your school to see what they accept. Some schools only take certain tests or limit the number of tests they will take.

The University of Texas at Austin has a very limited CLEP acceptance policy and tends to require higher scores. College Search - University of Texas at Austin - UT - SATÂ, APÂ, CLEPÂ

TAMU has a far more liberal policy.

Since you are in Texas, you'd be better off getting CLEP and DSST credits at a community college and getting Core Complete recorded on your official transcript. Core credits posted to an official community college credit by law must transfer if the community college transcript says Core Complete. Better yet, take 18 hours at the community college and get an associate's degree. Then transfer to any public university in Texas. If you take this approach, you can transfer CLEP hours using tests that the university wouldn't otherwise accept.
