New forum layout
#41
Looks as though the format has changed again, it is smaller than earlier. Also the style format button went away. I guess the site is now under construction aka a work in progress. Smile

I really don't like the move everyone is making in web design to a centered layout that only uses 640 or 800 pixels in width in order to cater to the lowest common denominator screen size.
I like the idea of a website that I can minimize, maximize and resize and all of the content flows.
So no I don't like the redesign.
The InstantCert logo looks really weird up in the top left of the page too. Its sitting there almost as if it is a tab in a tabbed pane.

Keep the feedback coming. I've made the forum take up the full width of the page. I also have increased a lot of the font sizes. If there are still some things that you think are too small to comfortably read, please give me specific examples so that I can change them.

I agree; I like the adjustments you have made so far.

My wishlist:

Is there a way to search the forum without Image Verification?

Is there a way to get rid of the scroll bar that seems to be for the posts without a signature?

Is there a way to have the total number of PMs at the top of the page?

I had 2 more things I wanted, but you fixed those already! Thanks again!

Thanks! That is the number of unread PMs, right? I am looking for the total number of PMs, but maybe I am just not seeing it. I have 200+ and need to know when it is time to clear it out again. It is at the bottom of the page, but it would be nice to see it more often.

Personally I'm a fan of this movement. I hate non-fixed websites, they drive me bonkers. Personally I don't recall ever seeing a website with a 640 width? I would agree that would be extremely impractical.

Like the new look- very sleek. & I love being able to "like" forum posts Big Grin
