I feel that there is so much information that is redundent(natural law and such) and I am really busting my tail studying as much as I can and doing some more indept searching on certain subjects that are talked about on the IC website, but are not in great depth. I feel that I was doing fine until the scenerios and now I am quite frankly ready to give up. I feel that I know my "stuff" but when it comes to the scenerios I want to cry. Then I looked at the fact sheet about the test and want to bawl. I was so confused when it came to the scenerios.

So, I need some insight here. I know that I have read on here that there are a lot of scenerio questions, but I feel like I am in some awful trouble. Are they Yes(a) and No(b) questions on the test or are there multiple choice?(I know I do not want to know the answer to this). Honestly, what kind of scenerios should I really be concentrating on, a lot of names or certain principles that those people have made? Can anyone remember what they saw on their test and is there an easy way to understand how they are worded? Is there a essay? If so, what was that like? I was thinking of taking the test this Wednesday, but I am giving up on that. I am shooting for next Wednesday now. That is, if I don't give up.

Tips, I am taking this in one week has anyone taken it if so what can I expect?:confused:

Hey guys I realize that some information that is relevant to my question might be in one of the stickies but I need some help regarding study tips. I have been out of school for a few years now. I used to work full time and go to school for years then I had to stop due to finances. I'm just curious how you guys study using IC as I've never used a site like this before. Do you guys take notes or just re-read and answer the questions until you feel you have a good understanding of the material? Any tips you can provide me would be great as I only need to pass three more tests and then I can transfer to the school I really want to go too!

I have been getting just about every question right on the instantcert tests. However, I have been taking the petersons tests and thats what has got me worried. My scores on the two petersons tests are 72% and 60%. Do you think I am ready for this test?

I am about to take my first Dantes exam next week.

I know the price is different, lol, but I was wondering if any of you feel or noticed that there is a difference in the way questions are presented or worded.

I have successfully passed four CLEP so far, and feel that I have an understanding of the types of questions, but am nervous about taking a Dantes.

Are most people equally successful with both types of tests?

Okay, here's the scoop. Some 8 yrs. ago I talked my wife into going back and becoming a registered nurse at 50 yrs. of age. She went to Excelsior..completed the course work and proceeded to go from being an LVN to an RN. She then went into nursing mgmt. and became a director of nursing . We have decided to move back to Dallas and she began to interview for dirctor of nursing positions. She received 4 firm job offers in one week and yesterday accepted a position as dir. of nursing at over $90,000.00 a year with insurance totally paid and bonus potential as well. I couldn't be prouder of her and her willingness to go back to school and get all she deserves. The moral to this story is ..the medical field is alive and getting better. Hopefully, all the nursing students out there will take heart, finish up there degrees and enjoy the security of knowing how much in demand you will be.

Assuming this is on purpose, it might be good to just put a link to the forums on the main page for people who aren't customers. I am considering taking History of the Vietnam War exam (along with Civil War, and Modern Middle East) to complete a depth in History at Excelsior.

Obviously this exam is not covered by Instantcert, so I will be "on my own" so to speak. I'm actually surprised that Steve hasn't developed something for the Vietnam exam. He did such a good job on the other history exams that I would think he could put out an equally excellent Instantcert thingamajig for Vietnam too. Steve? Any thoughts?

Sparknotes.com has a nice free study guide online for this subject, and I also have a few other online sites that I will use. I'm pretty sure I can pull it off.

However, I wonder if anybody here has taken this exam. I doubt it, but you never know! I would appreciate any feedback anyone can provide regarding this exam.
