Dallas College BAS in Management (CBE)

I was curious to see if there were any new CBE programs that have been released that we haven't discussed about on here and there seems to be a few. C-BEN has listed 5 new programs, of particular interest, Dallas College (which is already on our CBE wiki) has recently released a new CBE program for a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management. The program has total cost of $11,880 for 120 credit hours (less if you transfer in 60-90 credits). 

The following is a general breakdown of the requirements for the first two years, third year, and fourth and final year:

First Two Years - 60 credit hours
Complete two-year degree (AAS, AA, or AS). Earn associate degree providing technical, occupational, or academic transfer preparation.   

Third Year – 30 credit hours                
Complete remainder of bachelor’s-level core requirements, if any, and foundational business coursework.

Fourth and Final Year – 30 credit hours
Complete the following prescribed, upper-division, competency-based management coursework. Courses are taken in sequential order. All courses are three credit hours for a total of 10 courses and 30 credit hours.

The CBE program at Dallas College is priced per credit. For most of us (out-of-state and international), the cost is $250 per credit hour. 30 credits would come out to be $7,500 (not bad) if you maximized credit transfers:

For the average student at UMPI, it usually takes about 2-4 semesters at $1,800 a semester ($3,600 - $7,200). Still, it would be cheaper to go to UMPI, but if one were to suspect it would take 3-4 semesters based on their allotted time, responsibilities, speed, etc., Dallas College is still a great option nonetheless.
