  Has anyone taken these cleps?
Posted by: almostdone - 06-09-2006, 09:00 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

Has anyone taken American Literature, Analysis and Interpretation of Literature, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature?

If someone has, which is the easiest and what did you study for them?

I need one more humanities class to fullfill my degree at Embry-Riddle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Which clep is easier?
Posted by: Back2School - 06-09-2006, 08:14 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (3)

Algebra or College Mathematics?

I'm assuming that both of these are probably easier than biology, natural science, or chemistry if you have good math skills but know nothing about the science cleps.

Thanks in advance!

question of sociology exam for experienced ppl
Posted by: spazz - 06-08-2006, 11:27 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (13)

I have never taken a CLEP course before, so I dont really know what to expect. However, I am using InstantCerts sociology guide as well as a book I bought to read over. I have learned all the concepts that instantcert tests me on, however when answering the questions out of the book, I miss about half of them, and some of them are not related to anything that instantcert goes over. Could someone tell me if knowing the concepts instantcert teaches is enough to pass the sociology clep? And why might this be?

Thanks for your help and replies Smile

excelsior LIBERAL ARTS vs GEN. BUSINESS degree
Posted by: BELLA - 06-07-2006, 12:37 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (2)

my transcripts were evaluated a while back and the business degree shows I need 80hours. one of my schools was only nationally accredited and they are waiting for the regional accreditation. with that school I had an associate of business so that was the reason i applied for business. those credits are now floating until the school gets accredited.

i spoke with the counselor who recommended a liberal arts degree which i would only require 57 hours.

can anyone give me an idea of their experience with the liberal arts degree - the process (degree/course/test plan). i had already charted out all my exams for the business degree now i am reassessing everything.

thanks for the help.

Well that's how I have been feeling. I couldn't get focused. I was feeling depressed and just couldn't get back into the study mode. So I decided to see our doctor and find out what might be the cause of all of this and the answer is..Iam now an insulin dependent diabetic. Moral of the story..if you feel this same way..get it checked out. Don't wait!!

It's better to know and carry on then be overwhelmed and depressed.!!

Help please with figuring markup - for Marketing CLEP exam
Posted by: michelle19 - 06-06-2006, 10:57 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (12)

Hello,

I have started studying for the Marketing CLEP which I will take in July. I think I'm making more out of the markup questions as it should be fairly simple to figure out. I see there are different ways of calculating selling price and cost. For example, if I want to calculate the cost of a new table I just purchased and know the retail selling price was $1,000, and the markup percentage on the selling price is 60% - how would I determine the cost?

Is there an easy formula(s) on how to calculate these and are there many of these questions on the actual CLEP (if you've had exposure to it)?

Thank you in advance.
