Say, I was going through the Ic flashcards and I was really surprised at how easy the material was. Can I really expect to get basic questions about John lock, Benjamin Franklin, John wilkes booth, Thoman Pain, Charles dickens, Jack london etc. Do you know what I mean? Is instant cert really accurate in this one? So far evertything seems so basic (not that i'm complaining or anything!) I just wanted to know what everyone uses to study for this one or if IC alone is enough. On a side note, will I have to analyze literature also, or is it mainly connecting the author to the work? Thanks!

Got inital eval. back. Need some advise on UL

Finally I got my initial evaluation back, and I need 18 UL. From the 18, 6 can be Applied Profess. I already passed Drug Abuse and Abnormal Psych. as well as 6 more UL's from language proficiency tests.
The first question: For a Liberal Arts degree, would DSST Business Law II count as UL Applied Prof.? or it wouldn't count at all?
Since I also need 3 lower level credits, I was thinking about studying for Business Law I and II at the same time. If anyone has done that, please advise me.
Second question: From ECE Social Psych, Gerontology and Adulthood & Aging, which two are easier to pass?
Like I mentioned, I already passed Abnormal Psych. (B) and I'm schedule to take Research Methods tomorrow, based on that, what can I find easier?
I will take the DSST regular ULs, but I just want to plan ahead for the EC exams.
Thanks everybody for your advise.

Got a 'B'.
Thought this one was pretty tough. I walked out almost certain that I hadn't passed. The exam was quite different from nearly all the prepatory material I used... I don't think I recognized more than 25% of the exam's content.
I used IC, the ECE practice tests, and a Rudman's guide. An 'A' is certainly attainable, however I didn't focus on this one as strongly as I did with Research Methods. I was just eager to score a passing grade, so I'm content with the 'B'.
For those of you seeking an 'A', I recommend knowing and comprehending all of the IC content, taking and studying the ECE practice exams, and studying the topics covered in the 'Specific Exam Feedback' subforum using an Abnormal Psychology text.

Any new information for TECEP Business Policy?

Just wanted to see if anyone had any new input on the TECEP Business Policy exam. It looks like the last information posted for the exam was from 2/21/07. I think I read on one of the threads that the test changes each year on October 1st. I was just wondering if anyone has taken the test since then.
Also one more question - Can you pay extra to have your exam graded quicker or do you just have to wait the standard 4 to 6 weeks for the results?
Just curious - I am thinking I might change my focus on the next exam to Business Policy so I can get it done sooner if it is going to take that long to get the results.
And can someone tell me if the TECEP exams are pass/fall at ECE?

Using ONLY IC, and studying for a whopping 3 days, I managed a "B" for this test. All in all, one of the better (easier?) ECE's I have taken.
My credit count was 13 UL to go now it is 10 with 2 tests taken but yet to be graded. Hopefully I pass them, but I am getting ready to take 2 more. I have to petition to graduate before Dec 31 or my trigonometry grade (a D+) becomes invalid! My current credit count is up around 267 so it will be interesting to see what they take and what they leave, and what effect it has on my GPA.
I have no love of math, so this is pretty imperative to me. I couldn't get an answer from ECE about whether students that were previously registered were exempt from the oncoming change from ECE, anyone else in this situation?

I passed the exam today with a 68! I think this was the easiest exam I have taken. I had already taken marketing, accounting, and economics which helped greatly. I studied for approximately one week. I perused a textbook and used instacert. I may have scored better if I took time to read all the answers but I just went with the answer that jumped out to me. It only took me 26 minutes to finish a 100 question exam. I think the other testers around me wondered what I was doing when I stood up and left the room..LOL.
Anyway, this exam was fairly easy. All of the questions appeared easy, the answer just "stuck out" and the remaining possible answers seemed so out of place. This is why I cruised through this exam.

How To Raise Gpa At Excelsior

Can anyone advise how to raise my gpa at Excelsior?
I have a 2.93 I believe and would like to raise it up to at least a 3.0 or even better a 3.5.
I have a "D" in Algebra that has brought it down and I am retaking that at Penn Foster (Tech Math).
Can I ask EC to remove all classes from my transcript that will not be applied to my degree program? This could also lower my GPA hypothetically right???
