Searching for a previous post containing an interactive degree xls sheet.

Hello, I few months ago someone posted a pretty comprehensive spreadsheet to be used as a test-out template for TESC (BSBA I beleive). The sheet had several alternatives for most catagories and was very helpful. I thought I had saved it somewhere but can't find it. I have tried searching the site but no luck yet. The sheet was very clever and I am sure someone else will remember. Please let me know if anyone can point me to it.
Thanks

Just curious if anyone had any thoughts on Bellevue University graduate programs? I was interested in their Security Management MS as their curriculum is right in line with what I was looking for in an education.

FREE Graduate Math and Science Courses for Texas Teachers through A&M-Commerce!
Posted by: KayV - 01-18-2014, 11:22 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - No Replies

Wow! Texas A&M- Commerce is offering free graduate math and science classes for Texas preservice and inservice teachers. There are several science classes offered online, as well as a graduate math class in combinatorics. The other classes offered are held at various north Texas locales. It looks like you can even keep taking more classes throughout the year if you keep up your GPA.

How long does it take to receive the certified letter of graduation from TESC?
Posted by: frances - 01-18-2014, 10:59 AM - Forum: [ARCHIVE] Excelsior, Thomas Edison, and Charter Oak Specific Discussion - Replies (7)

I am slated to graduate in March with a BA in Psychology from TESC and according to my academic evaluation through the OSS portal I have met all the degree requirements. I applied for graduation December 27th, 2013 and received the acknowledgment via email January 13th, 2014. Does anyone know approximately how long it takes to receive the certified letter after the request for graduation has been acknowledged by TESC?

  American Military University ,,,, Advertising

I'm just leaving the DC area after a week of vacation. We stayed in northern Virginia and took the Metro trains everywhere we went, our hotel was at the end of the Blue Lone and we passed under the Pentagon a couple times a day. AMU has purchased every inch of add space on the walls of the Metro at the Pentagon station.
It is impossible to pass through that station and not catch the advertising. I found it interesting.

Are there legal courses for credit or test-outs available?

I'm just wondering if there are any alternatives to earning credit for these courses at COSC without taking classes directly with them.

Anyone able to take new online TECEP exams?
Posted by: paulhastings0 - 01-17-2014, 08:32 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (13)

Has anyone been able to successfully take an online TECEP exam from Thomas Edison?

I just tried to take my ACC 102 (Managerial Accounting) TECEP exam this evening using the ProctorU service but they were unable to "find" my test for me to take it.

Apparently they were expecting to see it listed at http://mycourses.tesc.edu/ but it wasn't there (which makes sense because I think that page is only for actual courses people are taking, not TECEP exams).

So then we went digging around the TESC student portal and found this TECEP test page. After clicking the name of the my TECEP exam we were taken here.

Unfortunately none of us were able to log into the exam; neither myself, the proctor, or the proctor's manager. We tried all sorts of different password combinations, my username, their username, the "TE2014@ops" password that's used in the instructions, etc. Still nothing. So ProctorU told me to email TESC and see what's up. I've done that, but I'll admit that I'm rather miffed, especially since this is Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and the TESC employees won't be back in the office until Tuesday.

Is there anyone else who's had this experience or was able to get around it?

Thanks!
-Paul

  Straighterline Business Communications Help

For those of you who have taken Business Communications through StraighterLine, can you provide information about the Final Exam? Primarily, we would like to know how much (approximately Smile of the Final is taken from the previous tests. Are the previous tests what we need to focus on?

Also we just wanted to mention that overall we have been very pleased with my service from Straighterline. Their staff at the live chat were very helpful and their subject matter experts are very eager to help and willing to look from your point of view.

DSST Public Speaking ACE recommendation expires in June

The ACE National Guide lists the DSST Principles of Public Speaking credit recommendation as being expired as of 06/30/2014. I'm not sure if it is going to be renewed or not, but if you need the test you may want to do it sooner rather than later.

  MBA for under $1000
Posted by: burbuja0512 - 01-17-2014, 02:15 PM - Forum: Off Topic - Replies (7)

I thought that this was a great article.. even though there is no "real degree" from an institution as a result of this woman's hard work, I bet someone savvy could still make it work on their resume to show initiative and creative thinking. It might even prove to be an advantage under the right circumstances.... but would REALLY require someone who's good at selling themselves and their skills.
