My fall term begins this week
We will
In the Seminar, we read two classics texts seeking the ungrounded ground of reason, Euclid’s Elements and Descartes Meditations on First Philosophy.
In the Tutorial we will engage in a close reading of a classic novel. The novel for 2025 is Tom Jones by Henry Fielding.
I surprised myself by enjoying "Tom Jones." I was hoping for a different novel. Now, I'm looking forward to discussing it with my cohort.

So... I find myself writing to the President and my Congressional delegation again.
It is unfathomable to me that these kids are being punished.
Extracurricular activities were such an integral part of my own high school experience.
"The Department of Defense Education Activity, or DoDEA, which operates 161 schools on or near military bases worldwide, has halted all extracurricular activities, including sports, for more than 67,000 students."

UK certified counsellor training
Agent and counsellor training from the British Council provides you with in-depth knowledge and awareness of the UK as a study destination, so you can help and support UK-bound students effectively.
Key topics covered in the training include:
- preparing students for a UK education
- student experience, accommodation and cost of living
- employability, career services and post-study options
- tuition fees, finances and the payment landscape.
The training is 100% online and it is free of charge. Modules can be taken in any order, at any time. Experienced agents and counsellors can go straight to the assessment, saving study time.
Please note that new users who register on the UK agent and counsellor training and engagement hub but do not log in again within three months will be archived from our system. Certified agents and counsellors need to recertify every two years.
UK certified counsellor certificate and digital badge
When you successfully complete the training course and confirm your understanding of the national code of ethical practice for education agentsyou will receive an online certificate and digital badge from the British Council. They will be visible in the ‘My Awards’ section of the UK training and engagement hub when you are logged in.
The certificate and digital badge, which are valid for two years, allow you to share your achievement and show that you have the appropriate knowledge and awareness of the UK as a study destination.
Please note that a certificate and badge can only be applied to an individual rather than a whole organisation or business, and that the British Council does not formally endorse, accredit or validate you.
If you are UK certified, you can also add your details to the database of certified counsellors, which is used by education providers, students and students’ parents.

| BABA to BLS |

I've seen contributors here with BLS PM & IS in their signatures and I'm wondering what I need to say to my success coach to have my degree changed from BABA Project Management to BLS PM & IS. Is it two separate degrees that I apply for simultaneously? I asked about "double minor" and she said "no thats not possible". What am I missing?
I've done a what-if via the student center and after completing 345 via Coursera and 401 at UMPI, I will satsified all requirments for BLS Management, MIS & PM.

The last thread I could find on here about it was from 2008 when it was the Association for Hebraic Studies Institute. Now it is a DEAC-accredited university with programs in Jewish Studies, education, and business (all through an Orthodox Jewish lens). They take up to 90 transfer credits for a bachelors. Undergrad tuition is $60/credit and graduation fee is $1500, bringing the degree to $3300 plus whatever you paid for your transfer credits if you transfer the full 90 in.
Anyone have experience with them?

I bounce around quite a bit on what I want to be when I grow up. That is a joke because I am old. However, due to COVID and family issues I have to keep working.
I decided I was going to do the additional 7 courses at WGU to get my MBA, as that is what would look nice on my resume right now. It has to be CBE, as I’m never going back to traditional learning.
I had wanted to do my DBA at South College, but I don’t have the time to commit. However I looked at the Executive MBA at South and it’s interesting. Much more interesting courses. At WGU they are run of the mill MBA courses. I don’t need in the weeds type of learning. I’ve been an exec for a hundred years.
I did a forum search but didn’t find much other than some people had looked at it.
So, has anyone enrolled in it? Any feedback?
Thank you all!
