ASU and TXST are Confused
#1
This is a light-hearted post. When Texas State University announced their online DBA program, they claimed that it was the first 100% online DBA in Texas. That wasn't true. UIW made their DBA available online in 2017. I just saw a LinkedIn ad from ASU claiming that they now have the first criminal justice doctoral program at a public university. I don't know what that's supposed to mean. LOL. Do they mean the first online DCJ at a public university? Yeah, they don't have that either. PennWest (formerly California University of Pennsylvania) beat them by like six or seven years.

I had never heard of PennWest, but know of at least 3 DCJs...

Perhaps they just mean in Arizona?

The PennWest campuses are a combination of 3 different universities that sail under the same banner. I've been to the PennWest - Clarion campus a few times up in north PA.

There are 2 festivities which I obsess over: 1. Groundhog Day 2. and the Autumn Leaf Festival. The Autumn Leaf Festival is actively happening right now outside the PennWest - Clarion campus. The craft fair hosted there, if I remember, is one of the largest that takes place along the east coast. The craft show/fair stretches along the main street of downtown Clarion. Tons of vendors and food trucks. Clarion is also a beautiful area as well and worth exploring for those that have an appreciation for the outdoors since it sits JUST underneath the Allegheny National Forest.
