online Physics with lab course recommendation

Hello,

My son is planning on a Construction Management Bachelor's degree online but trying to get his general education classes out of the way now. Can anyone recommend a Bachelor's degree in something that is Construction or Trades related. He is looking at Louisiana State University or National University Online. Both options are fairly pricey.

Does anyone know of an online Physics course with a lab?

I took some courses online in construction management at LSU and it was rough. You're basically on your own when it comes to learning and if this isn't something you have experience in, it's tough. LSU had 7 week long courses which crammed an entire semester into 7 weeks. It was so much work. He'll definitely need to up to speed with math and physics.

South Texas College has a subscription-priced CBE program in Construction Supervision coming soon, likely not higher than the associate's level, but it might bear credit transferable to a bachelor's elsewhere.

However, it is calculus-based rather than algebra-based, which may be a barrier, and I've seen mixed reviews for this particular course.

A problem with online science classes is their lab portion. If the lecture and the lab are separate classes where he's transferring, he may have to retake the lab. If they are together, they may not transfer at all.

Check out Luna.edu as I just took my Bio2 Lab there and I believe they also had online physics. The cost is reasonable as well.

@EducationSeeker, I would compare your options instead of going for just those two choices... Here are some options, you may want to revisit these threads for the options provided and then copy/paste the choices to a file, compare the alternative credit, costs, length, transfer awards, etc.

DO NOT take physics (especially the lab) at Straighterline. Read the scathing reviews on this forum. SL's physics content and learner experience are terrible.
If the receiving school will accept SDC physics and is okay with the labs coming from somewhere else, I recommend doing the physics courses through SDC and the standalone labs at TESU. The labs at TESU are really straightforward and quick, and the SDC courses give just enough understanding to get them done.
Also look at local and online community colleges for physics. ASU ULC also has a physics course that might work.

Since the trades field is less focused on a Bachelor's degree, the Associates or Certificate in Construction Management by an option.

It sounds like you are recommending Indiana Tech as a good option based on their willingness to take up to 90 credits. My son had asked for my help designing a degree plan. Both TESU and Indiana Tech accept up to 90 credits. I think both programs require about 50-60 credits between the Construction Mgmt core classes and Business Admin classes. The Business courses could likely be transferred, but, I am not sure the Construction Mgmt core can be transferred. Here are the courses he took from Youngstown State University:

We are trying to get an overall degree plan to accurately account for cheap credit sources and transfer as many courses as possible, but, I am thinking it would be hard to get close to 90 credit hours. It is more likely that he would be able to only transfer 70-90 credits, but, he is not sure yet. Any help would be appreciated.
