Got this in an email. I'll probably do it at some point figured i'd share it with everyone.

Dear MBA.com member:

We would like to invite you to participate in a special essay-writing study associated with the GMATÂ Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA). This is a great opportunity to preview the types of essay questions you may see on the exam, and practice your essay-writing skills. You will also receive $30 for your participation. Only a limited number of mba.com registrants will be able to participate in this study from early December 2008 through middle of February 2009, so please sign-up at your earliest opportunity if you would like to help us with this project.

Participation requires approximately 60 minutes during which you will write two essays online. You may complete these two essays when you register online or at any time within seven (7) days of registration. You can participate from any computer with Internet access and a Web browser comparable to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to U.S. citizens.

The link below will connect you to a Web site hosted by ACT, Inc., a partner with the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMACÂ) in the development of the GMATÂ test. At this Web site, you can create an account for participating in this special study. Participation requires that you agree to ACT’s privacy policy. ACT’s Web site will provide you with further instructions about how to complete and submit your two essays online. Upon completion of the essays, you will be provided with information on receiving payment for your participation in this study.

Cool. I'm going to give this a try as my GMAT test is scheduled for 2/27...and who doesn't like being paid to study?

Feedback will be posted when completed. FYI, there are a lack of instructions on the testing pages, but nothing too complicated to figure out.

Nice, just finished the two essays and made $30. At the end of the test they give you a link to download and print a W-9 form and instructions for mailing it in. Check will arrive 3-5 weeks.

There were two essay questions, on for evaluating an argument and another for establishing an argument. It's pretty familiar stuff to those studying for the GMAT and a nice exercise.

Thanks again Creationstory!
